- _d_m_i_n_f_o is equivalent to "dmconvert -D".
-
- In the case of MPEG-1 bitstreams, _d_m_i_n_f_o will display estimated lengths
- for the audio and video tracks. (The only way to determine the exact
- length of a track in an MPEG file is to parse the contents of the entire
- file.)
-
- Some file formats do not describe some aspects of the data they contain.
- For example, an SGI image file does not describe the pixel aspect for the
- sampled image, or whether the image originated as a single frame or as a
- pair of interlaced video fields. In cases like these, the values of the
- corresponding track parameters are not displayed.

- Silicon Graphics Computer Systems. Portions developed at the San Diego
- Supercomputer Center.
-
- _d_m_i_n_f_o uses the SGI Audio File, Compression, ImageVision, and Movie
- Libraries to access digital media data.
-
- Many of the image file formats are supported through the San Diego
- Supercomputer Center's image library (libim, libsdsc). This library is
- available from anonymous ftp at sdsc.edu in the
- /pub/sdsc/graphics/imtools/ directory. For more information, contact
